help i have lost my hotmail account. the message says someone else is using my account??!! all my e-mail addresses have disappeared - we have stupidly been using this address in our business. we have now created a business account with our computer back up provider. but i do need to retrieve all my information on my hotmail account. Something similar happened to me where someone created a Paypal account and seems to be using my email address as their secondary address. I say that because when I type my email address into Paypal and click that I forgot my password it says there is no account associated with that email address.

Just start using your new and people will slowly switch over. When I click on the link, it takes me to a Google login page, with my Hotmail account autofilled for the email address. I've never tried to login using the Google portal for Hotmail, and I'm not sure I want to try. I checked my Google "Details" link, and there have been no failed attempts at logging in for >24 hours.
