My experience has been that nortel VPN is very problematic with uverse. Its the way the uverse gateway firewall does packet inspection. If you work from home on a VPN be prepared for issues. For the past week or so, I have run into latency issues while playing. I’ve never had latency issues before, and I’ll see my ping go from 40ms in one match, to 550+ms in the next, for no real reason. My machine is using an ethernet cable, and ATT just replaced my modem and router. I did a looking glass test and don’t know what i’m reading really but i can post the results if needed.

Aug 22, 2018 · USG B is also behind an AT&T U-verse modem (Arris NVG589). This modem is configured to put the USG in “IP Passthrough” mode. Again, the USG gets the public IP addressed on eth0. Following the helpful tips in UniFi – Verifying and Troubleshooting IPsec VPN on USG, when I run sudo tcpdump -npi vti64 at both locations:
